How Did We Get Our Start? In 1992, Robert Berman, an aspiring playwright with an entrepreneurial spirit, moved to the Jersey Shore for the summer. There, he made wool dreadlocks, glued them into a baseball cap, wore it out to a bar on Long Beach Island, NJ and sold it off his head for 20 dollars and a beer. That began Rasta Imposta!
